Shop the Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus & S20 Ultra.
In this week’s blog we take a look at the S20 range in all its glory. Earlier this year (February 11th to be exact) Samsung unveiled their brand new S20 range, featuring the S20, S20 Plus and the S20 Ultra but it wasn’t until March that these beauties were available to buy. Now that they have been on the market for a little while, we wanted to give you a closer look at the remarkable range and show you exactly why these mobile phones sold almost 80,000 units during their first day of release alone.

Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus & S20 Ultra.
Initial release date March 2020.
Samsung have really pushed the boat out when it comes to keeping everyone happy with the S20 rage. The three models come in three different sizes, giving you the ultimate choice when it comes to your mobile device.
The S20 weighs in at a nice and light 163g with 151.7 x 69.1 x 7.9 (WxHxD) measurement, while the S20 Plus, as the name suggests is larger at 161.9 x 73.7 x 7.8 (WxHxD) and a weight of 186g. But if you’re looking for something ultra, the S20 Ultra is the way to go with a size of 166.9 x 76 x 8.8 (WxHxD) and a weight of 220g, this tops the likes of that Galaxy J4+ and is the ultimate big sister to the preceding Galaxy S10+.
Full HD display.
The S20 comes with a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x with Infinity-O display, while the S20+ has a 6.7-inch display and the S20 Ultra boasts a huge 6.9-inch display and with all three having a 120Hz refresh rate at FHD these displays are certainly remarkable. Stepping things up a gear once again from the S10 range, the S20’s screen all have an impressive resolution of 3200 x 1440, giving you a crystal clear image every time.
Samsung have also upped the ante when it comes to the device’s RAM, giving the S20 and S20+ a maximum of 12GB, with the S20 Ultra holding a whopping 16GB at its top level, allowing for blisteringly fast processing speed during even the most demanding use. The devices internal storage is also impressive, with the S20 containing 128GB of basic storage and the S20+ and Ultra containing up to 512GB.
And to top it all off, the S20+ and S20 Ultra 5G models also house a SD card slot, giving you the option to upgrade your storage space to 1.5TB, enough room for 500 Feature films!
Powerful battery for a powerful system.
And of course, if you have a whole cinema in the palm of your hands, you would expect a device whose power matched its capability. Each respective model goes up in battery power, with the S20 starting at 4000mAh rising to 4500mAh and 5000mAh, providing you with a mobile device that truely is mobile.
The S20’s battery will last at least an entire day with moderate usage, which is amazing for a mobile phone. Given the crazy amount of features and specs of this range, you’re not likely to get a full day’s worth of juice out of one charge if you’re watching movies and taking photos all day long, but it is safe to say that you’ll get a pretty good run.
Samsung’s new range take mobile phone photography to the next level, with the smallest of the family containing not 1, not 2, but 3 lenses.
The S20 and S20+ boasts a 12MP ultra-wide camera, 12MP wide-angle camera and 64MP telephoto lens with 30x Space Zoom, as well as a 10MP front camera. The S20+ however also houses a fourth, its depth vision camera.
And Samsung didn’t stop there, giving the S20 Ultra a 12MP ultra-wide camera, 108MP wide-angle camera, a 48mp telephoto camera with 100x Space Zoom (I know, right?!), a depth vision camera AND a 40MP front camera. With all of this there is no denying that the S20 range is top of most people’s list when it comes to smartphone photography.
“What about the moving images?” I hear you ask, well, you’re in for a treat as all three devices are 4K AND 8K capable. With 8K producing 30 frames per second and 4K, 120fps, these phones truly are spectacular and are a must if you are a professional photographer, videographer or you’re just starting out.
The tech bits.
The S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra come with built in 5G support (4G versions available of the S20 & S20+), made easily accessible with the addition of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, upgraded from the 855 version in the S10 range.
The entire range has a dual sim feature with the main sim card slot as well as a hybrid sim or MicroSD slot, giving you the option to use your device for both work and play.
Connectivity is covered from all angles within this range with location technology being supplies by the GPS, Glonass, Beidou and Galileo software, USB version USB 3.2 Gen 1, Bluetooth version 5.0, USB 3.2 Gen 1, USB type-C Earjack and Smart Sync for quick Synchronization with your PC.
Another brilliant addition to the whole S20 family is the water-resistant technology with an IP68, allowing your phone to be safe in up to 1.5m of water for 30 minutes. While we still don’t recommend taking your phone in the bath for under water photos whilst you pretend to be on holiday, it does give you peace of mind if you accidentally drop in in the loo or get caught up in a thunder storm.
Given all of these amazing features, we are very happy to be able to stock a couple of these devices, so click on the graphics below to be taken straight to the sales page while stock lasts.
