Initial release date August 7th 2019

‘Laptop storage without the laptop’

Samsung state that the Galaxy Note 10 range comes with ‘laptop storage, without the laptop’ and they are definitely not wrong.

The original Note 10 comes with a brilliant 8gb RAM and 256gb of internal storage and whist this may be impressive, the Note 10+ 5G steps it up a notch and brings you a massive 12gb RAM and the choice of either 256gb or 512gb of internal storage, making these devices perfect for those of you who seek a device with storage like Mary Poppins’ bag.

And if all that wasn’t enough to make you say ‘shut up and take my money’, the Note 10+ 5G has an additional Micro SD slot that can expand your memory up to 1TB, giving you that extra storage capacity where needed.

Infinity-O Display

As with most of the newer Samsung models, the Note 10 series features the Infinity-O display , with the Note 10 boasting a 6.3″ FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Display (2280×1080) at 401 ppiand the Note 10+ 5G featuring the larger 6.8″ Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Display (3040×1440) at 498 ppi, these displays are truly stunning and lend to a fantastic user experience.

Both versions within the family feature Corning® Gorilla® Glass 6, the bigger, better and stronger brother of the Gorilla® Glass 5.

Corning state that “Subjected to a new and rigorous test methodology in our labs, on average, Gorilla Glass 6 survived 15 consecutive drops from 1 meter onto rough surfaces and is up to 2x better than Gorilla® Glass 5″ which is pretty impressive, especially when you’re a butter fingers! You can read more about the Corning® Gorilla® Glass 6 here.

The beautiful displays are housed within the Note 10’s body, with both versions significantly larger tham some of Samsung’s other plus size devices.

The Note 10 comes in with dimensions of 71.8 x 151.0 x 7.9 mm and a weight of 168g, while the larger Note 10+ 5G measures 77.2 x 162.3 x 7.9 mm and weighs 196g. And while you may be wondering if these devices are a little too big for everyday phone needs, when you remember that these devices come with the S-Pen and some incredible on screen writing features (Which we will get into in a moment), you can see exactly why bigger is better.

Power

Both the Note 1- and Note 10+ come with the 7nm 64-bit Octa-Core Processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.7GHz or 2.8GHz depending on your country or carrier. Combined with the stunning displays, the processors for these devices allow you to go about your daily activities, whether that be phone calls, business emails or gaming in your down time without any processing issues.

Speaking of power, Samsung give us a 3500mAh and a 4300mAh battery on the Note 10 and 10+ 5g respectively and with Samsung’s wireless fast charge capability included within these models, you can gain hours of power from minutes of charge, which is perfect for those of you who find yourself glued to your phones throughout most fo the day.

Competent Capturing

Once again Samsung has not scrimped on the camera technology included within this range, with both phones featuring numerous lens.

Both the Note 10 and Note 10+ 5G feature a 10mp front camera with live focus and live focus video, perfect for those of you who love a good selfie or vlog – who doesn’t right?

When it comes to main cameras, both models feature 3 cameras, the 16mp ultra-wide lens, 12mp wide angle and the 12mp telephoto lens, allowing you to take professional grade photos whatever your subject may be. The + model of course, features one extra lens, its DepthVision camera. This camera has two physical sensors allowing the Note 10+ to perfectly separate your photos subject from its background, making this phone perfect for portrait and subject photography.

SPen

You may be wondering why there is yet to be any mention of the SPen and its features when we are talking about the Note series-well, we like to save the best until last, and the SPen features within this Note range are definitely worth waiting for.

The Bluetooh SPen itself comes in at 3.04g with dimensions of 5.8 × 4.35 × 105.08mm, making this a super light, compact addition to your device with a battery standby time of up to 10 hours!

With 4096 pressure levels, this device is brilliant for all things creative, from colouring, drawing, writing on screen and AR Doodle.

The SPen also comes with air actions, live message, Samsung Notes, text export, Smart select, translate, magnify and PENUP, giving you a whole host of features that you don’t get with any of the standard ranges.

Another impressive feature that utilises the SPen within the Note 10 range is Samsung DeX. Samsung DeX, allows you to connect the Note series to your PC, display, keyboard and mouse, giving you an impressive way to multitask between devices. You can drag and drop files and copy and paste between the devices and continue to use the Note 10 as a phone whilst using this feature.

The SPen really comes into play where DeX in concerned as you can use your Note 10 device to draw, sketch and write free hand on the screen, with the outcome being directly displayed on your PC, which we have to say, is pretty impressive.

Added Extras

Believe it or not, that’s not all the that range has to offer!

The Note 10 range has many extra features such as it’s food, night & panorama camera modes as well as Bixby Visions 3D Scanner, 4K, 1080p and 720p HD video recording.

The Note series is also capable of wireless powershare, is dust and water resistant in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes and features Andriod 9 (Pie).
